Our history dates back to 1902. We began as The Bank of Webster in the small town of Webster, Noth Dakota with a capital stock of $10,000. In 1968, our name changed to Western State Bank. Since then, we've expanded to ten locations, with three in North Dakota and seven in Arizona. In 1990 the bank also started Western Equipment Finance, a division of the bank that offers nationwide commercial equipment financing and leasing programs.
Western State Bank is proudly owned and operated by its employees through our ESOP plan. As a leading community bank, we continually earn five-star ratings from Bauer Financial, a trusted and independent research firm.
Today, Western State Bank has close to $1.7 billion in total assets and employs over 250 team members.
